Third time lucky - not so in our case

Our Carlow MK2 Challenge didn't go exactly according to plan. After securing top 2wd at the Tour of the Sperrins the day before, we were hot to trot. The morning loop of stages were quite slippy and unfortunately we lost a little time due to an SOS board being shown on SS1 in error and then a spin on SS2 put us on the back foot from the off. The second loop of stages went much better, with a 2nd quickest time on SS5 and with 10 seconds separating the top 2wd men, the trophy was anyone's for the taking. Unfortunately a broken half shaft on the start of SS7 ended our MK2 challenge for another year, but with no damage done, we will be back in 2016.
